After a win and a loss over the weekend, the Houston Rockets are currently part of a three-way tie for second place in the Southwest Division.
Houston started the weekend with a 109-102 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday, but couldn't keep the momentum going on Saturday as they fell to the Portland Trail Blazers in overtime, 95-85. The weekend results put Houston at 2-1 after the first three games of the year.
With the 2-1 record, the Rockets are currently stuck with the New Orleans Hornets and the Dallas Mavericks in a tie for second place in the division. The San Antonio Spurs, who beat the Utah Jazz 110-100 over the weekend, standing tall at the top of the Southwest with a perfect 3-0 record.
The Memphis Grizzlies currently sit at the bottom of the division, but have played one game fewer game than all of the other teams in the Southwest. They currently have a 1-1 record.
