Chase Budinger Added To NBA All-Star Dunk Contest

The Rockets' big man will be among those participating (including yes, a guy named Lin) in the dunk contest.

The Houston Rockets' Chase Budinger will be among those participating in the NBA All-Star Dunk contest, as part of NBA's All-Star Weekend in Orlando next weekend, according to ESPN's Marc Stein:

Sources with knowledge of the league's plans told ESPN.com that Knicks rookie Iman Shumpert -- one of four dunk-contest entrants alongside Houston Rockets forward Chase Budinger, Indiana Pacers swingman Paul George and Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Derrick Williams -- will be enlisting Lin to "assist" him in a manner similar to the help 2011 champion Blake Griffin got from then-Los Angeles Clippers teammate Baron Davis.

The third-year forward out of Arizona is averaging 8.9 points and 3.7 rebounds per game this season for the Rockets. Check out a possible preview of his competitive dunks with this highlight reel from the NBA's official site.
