According to a report by the Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen, the Houston Rockets will sign Courtney Fortson of the NBA D-League's L.A. Defenders to a 10-day contract.

The Rockets have been hampered by injuries to its backcourt. Kyle Lowry is out while recovering from a bacterial infection. Starting shooting guard Kevin Martin has a shoulder injury and Courtney Lee dislocated a finger earlier this week.
Houston traded for Derek Fisher on Thursday but the veteran point guard has yet to report to Houston and is reportedly not happy about the trade and seeking a buyout. The hope was that Fisher would provide some depth behind new starter Goran Dragic while Lowry recovers. Fisher's situation along with the injury to Courtney Lee no doubt played a big part in the Rockets' pursuit of Fortson.
