Kyle Lowry Injury Update: Rockets Point Guard Slowly Coming Back From Bacterial Infection

This has been a season to forget for Houston Rockets point guard Kyle Lowry. From an ankle injury to the current bacterial infection he’s fighting, he’s had a hard time staying on the court for any prolonged period. While his current battle is a slow going one, Jonathan Feigen reports that he’s having at least some progress.

After three days of tests, guard Kyle Lowry is progressing in his treatment from a bacterial infection on schedule but remains far from a return to workouts, much less games. Lowry is scheduled to be checked again in eight to 10 days but is progressing well enough that there will not be a change in the treatment, as was possible when he was fighting infection.

Lowry is averaging 15.9 points and 7.2 on the season, both career highs despite his health concerns.
