The Houston Rockets blew a double digit lead in the fourth quarter then saw another game slip away in overtime with a 97-92 loss to the Boston Celtics.
The Celtics began the overtime period with a 7-2 run that had the Rockets playing catch up the rest of the way. Kyle Lowry cut the Boston lead to just one point at 93-92 with just over a minute to play. Paul Pierce answered back with a lay up of his own to make the score 95-92 and the Rockets would turn the ball over twice in the final minute to help seal the loss.
Luis Scola and Kyle Lowry each finished with 18 points to lead Houston. chandler Parsons added 12 points while Goran Dragic, Samuel Dalembert and Kevin Martin all finished with 11 points each. Dalembert grabbed a game-high 17 rebounds in the loss.
Paul Pierce led the Celtics with 30 points while Ray Allen added 21. Kevin Garnett finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds while Rajon Rondo finished with nine points and 12 assists.
