Rockets lead the Suns in the battle for one of the final playoff spots by a score of 55-51 at halftime. Both offenses are playing well, both shooting over 45%, most misses have come from simply missed open looks. The Rockets offense performing well despite not hitting much from behind the arc. They didn't hit their 1st three-pointer till about the 4 minute mark in the 2nd quarter and only have 2 overall.
The story of the 1st half has to be the play of Marcus Camby. At the half, Camby is on pace for 20 points, 36 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals, and 6 blocks. At the half, Camby has 18 rebounds, the Suns as a team have 23 total. The Rockets started off the quarter playing Dragic and Lowry together but had to take out Dragic later on due to him picking up his 3rd foul on a questionable flop from Gortat. So far Dragic has outplayed his mentor Steve Nash, who was held scoreless during the 1st half. Luckily for the Rockets, Lowry looks to be back to pre-injury form. He's hit his shots, ran the offense well, and delivered a beautiful pass on a alley-oop to Budinger.
Much better effort from the team tonight, they seem to understand the urgency of this game.
