Both the Houston Rockets and Denver Nuggets are battling for one of the final playoff spots in the Western Conference. Currently the two are tied for the No. 7 spot and 1.5 games ahead of the Phoenix Suns for being out of the playoffs, so Sunday night's game is big.
At the half it is the Rockets who are ahead of the Nuggets 49-43 thanks to Chase Budinger who has 16 points including going 4-of-8 from three-point range; Louis Scola also has 14 points for the Rockets. The Rockets are leading even though they are shooting 40 percent from the field, but their three-point shooting is why they are leading as they have made six compared to the Nuggets one.
The Nuggets offense has been shooting a little better than the Rockets at 45 percent and their leading scorer is Ty Lawson who has eight points.
