2012 NBA Standings: Rockets Clinging To No. 8 Spot

The Rockets have lost three straight games and are now sitting at the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference after losing to the Nuggets Sunday night. With that loss the Phoenix Suns are just one game behind the Rockets and the Utah Jazz are only 1.5 games back.

There are only six games left in the regular season for the Rockets to hold onto that final spot and they get a chance to get back on the court Monday night against the Nuggets once again, but this time at home.

Out of those last six games that the Rockets have on the schedule they have two against the New Orleans Hornets, and those two games are as near a guaranteed win on the schedule a team can have.
