Houston's five-game losing streak couldn't have come at a worst time for the Rockets, as they've dropped from sixth in the NBA's Western Conference to a tie for ninth, with no tiebreaker advantages against the two teams - Utah and Phoenix - they're battling with for the final spot in the playoffs.
Houston must win out, starting Thursday night in New Orleans in the first of two games with the Hornets in the final week of the regular season. The Rockets rallied for a 90-88 overtime win over NOLA in January, and need to win their third of the last four against the Hornets tonight. The Hornets just ended a season-high four game winning streak with a loss to Memphis.
