NBA Mock Draft 2012: Tyler Zeller, Arnett Moultrie Possible Targets For Rockets

The 2012 NBA Draft will be here before you know it. The Houston Rockets are sitting pretty with two first-round draft picks this year, so 2012 could end up being huge for the team.

Chad Ford of ESPN Insider has posted his latest mock draft. He believes that the Rockets will use their No. 14 overall pick to select Tyler Zeller of the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Houston

Tyler Zeller

Position: C
Height: 7-foot
Weight: 247 pounds
Age: 22
School: North Carolina
Analysis: The Rockets' biggest need is in the middle, and Zeller should be a solid option. Scouts don't think Zeller is going to be an All-Star someday, but he's big, he runs the floor very well and he has a great touch around the basket. Meyers Leonard has passed him on our Big Board, but Zeller should ultimately land somewhere between Picks 8 and 14.

The Rockets also picked up an additional first-round pick from the New York Knicks. Ford believes the Rockets will use this No. 16 pick to take Arnett Moultrie of the Mississippi St. Bulldogs.

Houston (via Knicks)

Arnett Moultrie

Position: PF
Height: 6-foot-11
Weight: 223 pounds
Age: 21
School: Mississippi State
Analysis: Moultrie can stretch the floor and really rebound. With the Rockets in desperate need of size, pairing Moultrie with Zeller could give them a good mix of bigs.

Time will tell whether Zeller or Moultrie will still be on the board by the time the Rockets' picks roll around, but they seem likely to be potential targets for Houston.
