Rockets GM Daryl Morey Talks About The Upcoming NBA Draft

The NBA Draft is exactly one week away and as teams continue the process of working players out and evaluating them, most NBA general managers are pretty tight-lipped when it comes to their draft plans.

But Houston Rockets GM, Daryl Morey, opened up about the teams plans on the teams website. The Rockets have the 14th and 16th picks in this year and the team appears to be planning to keep and use both, according to Morey.

Having two first round picks, with one of them being in the lottery, will be helpful to the Rockets and gives them the flexibility to draft based on need and taking the best player available on the board. Based on need, the Rockets could really use a presence in the paint.

Marcus Camby may or may not be back next season and Hasheem Thabeet has yet to show that he's a capable NBA center.

Last year, the Rockets finished 34-32 during the lockout shortened season and were fourth in the Southwest division.

A complete transcript of Morey's media session can be found here.
