Rockets Offseason 2012: Houston Acquires Draft Rights Of Furkan Aldemir From Clippers

The Houston Rockets had a minor roll in a four-team deal where the main part of the trade was sending Lamar Odom of the Dallas Mavericks to the Los Angeles Clippers. The Rockets part of the deal was to send cash considerations to the Mavericks while receiving the rights to the 53rd overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft forward in Turkey forward Furkan Aldemir from the Los Angeles Clippers.

Not sure what the Rockets see in Aldemir, he was rated as one of the best rebounders in the draft, but being from overseas it is likely the Rockets will keep him over there to work on his game overall.

The move now gives the Rockets four players from the 2012 draft in addition to Aldemir, the Rockets have Kentucky's Jeremy Lamb, Iowa State's Royce White and Terrence Jones who also played his college ball at Kentucky.
