Knicks Acquire Kurt Thomas, Raymond Felton; May Not Match Rockets Offer For Jeremy Lin

The New York Knicks acquired Raymond Felton and veteran forward Kurt Thomas from the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday night through a trade, and this move could possibly mean that the Knicks may not match the Rockets offer sheet to Jeremy Lin.

The Knicks had pledged to match an offer up to a ridiculous $1 billion and head coach Mike Woodson said that Lin would definitely would return, but now that they have acquired Felton they may no longer be in need of matching the Rockets offer for Lin. Plus the Knicks just brought in Jason Kidd so retaining Lin may not make sense.

This also should put an end to the hide-and-seek game that the Knicks general manager Glen Grunwald is playing with the Rockets by not allowing the Rockets give him Lin's offer sheet.
