2012 Vegas Summer League: Rockets Cruise To 113-91 Win Over Kings Thanks To Rookies

A balanced scoring attack helped the Rockets move to 2-1 in the 2012 Las Vegas Summer League with a 113-91 win over the Kings on Monday.

Houston was led by rookie forward Donatas Motiejunas, who scored 19 points on 7-for-11 shooting in 25 minutes. He also grabbed six rebounds. Rookie guard Jeremy Lamb equalled Motiejunas with 19 points on 7-for-15 shooting in 24 minutes. Off the bench, rookie forward Terrence Jones chipped in 17 points and eight rebounds in 22 minutes.

The teams were tied at 22 after the first quarter, but a 35-24 edge in the second quarter helped the Rockets pull away. Houston shot 52.6 percent as a team and held Sacramento to 42.3 percent. The Rockets had a 45-33 rebounding edge.
