Jeremy Lin Signing Should Help Rockets' New TV, Radio Partners

The Jeremy Lin signing is creating a lot of buzz around the Rockets franchise. So the new team's new TV partner, CSN Houston, and radio partner, KBME (790 AM), are among the beneficiaries.

The Rockets had been on Fox Sports Houston and KILT (610 AM) for years, but moved to new stations following the 2011-12 season. A marquee signing is a great way to increase viewers and listeners. From the Houston Chronicle:

"It will definitely have a positive impact, especially since this is the rollout of a new regional sports network, so the timing is very good," Chris Bevilacqua, founder of Bevilacqua Media Co. and media rights adviser to the Pac-12, Big 12, NHL and other leagues, said in an e-mail.

"Lin will bring real excitement and visibility to CSN's distribution and advertising sales efforts."
