Lee averaged 11.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 30.3 minutes per game for the Rockets last season.
Rumors have been popping up that the Rockets are interested in signing Jeremy Lin, so the decision to let Lee go could be a sign Houston is continuing to pursue Lin.
Lee is 26 and just finished his fourth year in the league out of Western Kentucky.
