Kyle Lowry Trade: Toronto Raptors Getting A Good, Young Point Guard

It appears that the Houston Rockets are in full rebuild mode after it was reported on Thursday that the team had dealt point guard Kyle Lowry to the Toronto Raptors for swingman Gary Forbes and a future first round draft pick.

SI.com's Sam Amick likes the addition of Lowry to Toronto's roster after the team failed in their bid to acquire free-agent Phoenix Suns point guard and native Canadian, Steve Nash:

While Lowry doesn't have Nash's star power or local appeal, the 26 year old is one of the game's best budding point guards and should fit nicely with the Raptors' young core. He averaged 14.3 points and 6.6 assists for the Rockets last season, but missed most of the second half of the season with a bacterial infection.
