So, Uh, What About Ben Tate?

When the Texans used their second-round pick on Auburn running back Ben Tate, they figured that, in a year or less, perhaps Tate would assume the starting role and give the Texans a solid back that they thought they had with Steve Slaton.

But now that Arian Foster has exploded onto the scene, it appears Tate may have some competition upon his return to the field. Nonetheless, he's rehabbing and doing his best to heal, and on Monday he posted an update on his Twitter account.

Keep in mind: didn't we think that Slaton was the answer at running back for years to come? Yes, yes we did. A team can never have too many talented running backs, and should something happen to Foster - i.e. he gets injured, flames out or is otherwise sidelined - having a capable Tate around will be a luxury.

Don't forget about Ben Tate. This time next year, we could be talking about Tate like we're talking about Foster. You never know.
