Things got dire yesterday as the Seahawks, already down starting left tackle Russell Okung, lost backup LT Tyler Polumbus for the remainder of the game. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and for the Seahawks, that was letting a just-recently-activated Chester Pitts step in...at left tackle.
↵It should come as no surprise to those who follow the Texans that the game ended with quarterback Matt Hasselbeck being the victim of 8 sacks and a slight concussion. After starter-in-name Tony Boselli was never cleared to play in the Texans inaugural season, Pitts took over as the left tackle for the Texans, keying a beatdown of David Carr that he never recovered from. Pitts, of course, had better days for the franchise, but even in his early days he was pathetically bad at left tackle.
↵I guess what I'm saying here is that as much as I criticize Duane Brown, things could always be worse. Oh, and sorry about that mess on Sunday, Seattle fans. I'm hoping for both you and Pitts that this is the only time this year you have to endure that.
