Matt Schaub Practiced Thursday After Spending Night In Hospital

Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub was back to practice Thursday after being hospitalized earlier in the week due to an injury to the bursa sac in his right knee.

Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said Schaub took about half the first-team snaps on Thursday and that the only way Schaub will not start Sunday against the New York Jets is if he has a setback before the game.

If Schaub, who has thrown for 2,320 yards this season, is unable to start, the Texans would more than likely rely on backup Dan Orlovsky. It would be interesting, however, if Matt Leinart – the Texans other quarterback – was able to show what he’s able to do in a Texans uniform.

Schaub has started 25 straight games for the Texans, though, so if you have him in your fantasy football league, he’s probably a safe bet to start – both for the Texans and your fantasy team.
