The Texans And Black Friday

If you buy something from an SB Nation link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics statement.

For some, Black Friday is a day of splurging. For others, Black Friday is a day of cannily seeking out those things you want (or want to gift) for as cheap as possible. For that segment of America looking for the best deals, they are willing to drop quite a few dollars here or there so long as they're getting something of quality that is on sale by quite a bit. Take for instance, this Sony Vaio bundle that may or may not have disappeared by the time you look at this post. Vaio's are usually much more expensive than $499, but Black Friday has lowered the price in a significant way and allowed a laptop bag and something else to go out with it.

Now, lets look at the Texans idea of Black Friday:

10 AM - 11 AM: $10 OFF all ADULT and LADIES replica jerseys
11 AM - 12 PM: $5 OFF any ADULT or YOUTH hat priced over $25
12 PM - 1 PM: 10% off one regular priced item (limit 1 discount per person)
1 PM - 2 PM: $5 OFF all YOUTH replica jerseys
2 PM - 3 PM: $5 OFF all footballs priced over $25
3 PM - 4 PM: $10 OFF ADULT REPLICA Texans helmets
4 PM - 5 PM: 10% off one regular priced item (limit 1 discount per person)
5 PM - 6 PM: $5 OFF all YOUTH outerwear
6 PM - 7 PM: $10 OFF all bobble head dolls

That isn't Black Friday pricing. That isn't even Presidents Day pricing. In fact, the NFL.com store has run better promotions than this on random weekends in September during the season.

So if you're looking for a store that is sure to be not-packed on Black Friday, try the Go Texans shop. Just don't expect to get much of a deal.
