Texans Cornerback Glover Quin Named AFC Defensive Player Of The Week

After the infamous Q-Tip against the Jacksonville Jaguars and being burnt by New York Jets receiver Santonio Holmes for the game-winning touchdown, Glover Quin could have easily beaten himself up and caved in. A young player gets highlight-reeled like that, it would have been understandable. As if that weren't enough, Quin had a broken hand last week and seemingly couldn't catch a break at all, pardon the phrasing.

Fortunately for Houston, Quin worked through it all to a career day against the Tennessee Titans which included three interceptions, the first three of his career and a single-game franchise record, and five passes defensed.

For those efforts, Quin was named AFC Defensive Player Of The Week - becoming the fifth different Texans defender to ever earn the weekly honor.

Congratulations to Glover. Hopefully, the confidence will carry through the rest of the season for the sake of Houston's defense.
