Report: Texans Sign CB Karl Paymah For One Year

The Texans, desperately seeking help in their secondary, have reportedly signed cornerback Karl Paymah to a one year contract. Paymah used to play for the Broncos (surprise surprise) and was released by the 49ers in their final roster cuts. He's versatile enough to add value on special teams, as well. The Texans will have to make a corresponding move on their roster, and we'll update you as that news comes in.

Jason La Canfora broke the news to the mainstream, and also noted that the Texans worked out three other cornerbacks a day after head coach Gary Kubiak said they were going with what they had.

EDIT: Jamar Wall has been released to make room for Paymah. The Texans also worked out the following players Tuesday, according to Aaron Wilson on Twitter:

Texans also tried out Al Afalava, Antonio Baker, Quintin Demps, Scott Starks, Victor Harris, Chevis Jackson, Schobel.

Afalava has some terrific FO stats, so he might be worth a look.
