The Houston Texans have reportedly traded a conditional draft pick to the New York Jets to acquire wide receiver Derrick Mason, this is according to the Houston Chronicle's John McClain. The Texans are in need of wide receiver depth with Andre Johnson out for at least another week or two due to a hamstring injury he suffered against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

On the year Derrick Mason has not been as productive as he has been with his prior team the Baltimore Ravens and has 13 receptions for 115 yards in five games played this season. Prior to signing with the Jets this past offseason, Mason was a mainstay for the Baltimore Ravens where he was a two-time Pro Bowl and all-Pro selection in 2000 and 2003 and he is also the Ravens all-time leading receiver.
