Ravens Vs. Texans Game Odds: Ravens Favored By A Touchdown

The Houston Texans are facing tough competition in the 3-1 AFC North leading Baltimore Ravens and without two of their star players in wide receiver Andre Johnson and defensive end Mario Williams. With the Texans being on the road and down those players make the Ravens a touchdown favorite and the over/under on the game is 45 points.

That over/under line could be difficult to reach with the Texans offense down without Johnson the offense will suffer. The Texans acquired wide receiver Derrick Mason last week from the Jets and he is expected to see some playing time today, but Jacoby Jones will be who is filling in for Johnson. The Texans last week performed well in the passing game without Johnson with Matt Schaub throwing for over 400 yards but only scored 20 points in a loss to the Oakland Raiders.

The Ravens are one of the more high scoring teams in the league and averaging just a shade under 30 points at 29.8 per game with an offense lead by quarterback Joe Flacco and running back Ray Rice. Last week the Ravens defeated AFC rival the New York Jets 34-17, but in an ugly game that featured six total turnovers and Flacco passing for 163 yards and Rice running for only 66 yards.

Expect the Ravens to rebound and for the Texans to have more continuity on offense as they had another full week in preparing for a game without Andre Johnson.
