Week 7 NFL Power Rankings: Texans Slip As Injuries Threaten To Derail Promising Season

Houston needs to right the ship before a crucial divisional game against Tennessee this weekend.

On the heels of a two-game losing streak that dropped their record to 3-3, the Houston Texans have slipped into the middle of the pack in SBNation's NFL Power Rankings for this week:

15. Houston Texans (3-3, LW: 11): Two of their three wins have come against teams without a win this year. I think we're still trying to figure out whether they're for real. Getting Andre Johnson back this week or next will help.

Houston hasn't been the same since losing Andre Johnson and Mario Williams in consecutive games. The Texans completely fell apart in the fourth quarter against Baltimore last week, with the Ravens scoring 13 unanswered points, turning what had been a close game into an easy victory.

But while Williams is out for the season, Johnson will return at some point later in the season. Unfortunately, Houston won't have him back this weekend, when they play the division-leading Tennessee Titans in a crucial game that could determine the fate of the AFC South.
