Has Arian Foster Been Struggling?

Two articles today from Chronicle writers, including one everyone respects and one most people mock, on the same topic: has Arian Foster been struggling/raising the ire of Gary Kubiak?

↵

In the past two games, Foster has gained 117 yards on 37 carries in the past two games. At least against the Raiders, Foster caught five passes for 116 yards in addition to his meager rushing output.

Unfortunately, the problem that Kubiak underlined and Zeirlein pointed out is that Foster hasn't been nearly effective enough on his running plays. Whether it's because he's being more tentative or just seeing more defensive attention, I cannot say. But, it is very suspicious when you connect the dots between what Kubes is saying and what Lance is seeing.

At the same time, the Ravens have a very good defense and the Raiders front is underrated and the Texans interior line was banged up. It's hard to get push there with backups, especially when the line was playing so well in previous weeks. Maybe the Texans just hit a rough patch, maybe Foster needs to run better, but whatever the case, it needs to get fixed and soon if Houston wants to win games before Andre Johnson gets back.
