After one half of football in Houston's Reliant Stadium, the defenses have come to the forefront as the Texans and the Jacksonville Jaguars are tied at 7-7.
Texans' signal caller Matt Schaub lead his offense on a 12-play, 80-yard touchdown drive on the first possession of the game. Schaub ran it in on a two-yard run, his first rushing touchdown of the season. The Texans have been diligent to give Arian Foster the ball in the first half as well, but his 14 carries for 41 yards have yet to result in a big play for Gary Kubiak's offense.
The Jaguars were able to get on the board in the second quarter after Matt Schaub fumbled the ball and Matt Roth recovered it. He then lateraled to Terrance "Pork Chop" Knighton, who then lateraled to Clint Session who ran the ball into the Texans red zone. Blaine Gabbert then found Jason Hill in the endzone to tied the game at 7-7.
The Jaguars will receive the ball in the second half.
