Am I wrong for enjoying the scuffling the Texans and Jags did on Sunday? That Jacksonville is now whining about how the Texans "played dirty?"
↵Those are the hallmarks of a good rivalry, and the Texans and Jaguars have a sneaky good rivalry going. Their games are always intense with some extra curricular friskiness and have come down to the wire enough times for tension to build.
↵But, is there any truth to the rumor that Houston is dirty? I don't think it matters. Sure, Houston may have done some things up front that weren't decent and upstanding, but that's what good offensive lines do. How many times did Denver's offensive line get called out for being dirty a decade ago?
↵Those Bronco lines may have been doing things that were frowned upon but not illegal, but they were also very, very competent. I'm sure you could get away with being a good offensive line without having teams call you dirty, but it'd be hard. In an NFL world that's policed with a fine tooth comb, it's nice to think that the occasional nut shot and other dirty plays are alive and well in the trenches.
