Another week without the services of Andre Johnson hasn't slowed down the Houston Texans offense, as Matt Schaub has thrown for 222 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Texans to a 16-3 lead over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Raymond James Stadium.
The Texans, with the No. 2 rushing offense in the NFL, haven't head to lean on the rushing duo of Arian Foster and Ben Tate in Tampa thus far. The two tailbacks have put up just 52 yards on 14 carries. The passing attack got on track with an 80-yard pitch and catch from Schaub to Jacoby Jones, as Jones caught the ball in the middle of the field then eluded two tacklers to make his way to the endzone.
Schaub then found Arian Foster on a short pass, Foster then did the rest of the heavy lifting to get Schaub his second touchdown of the day.
The Bucs offense has struggled to find their rhythm, as LeGarrette Blount only has 14 yards rushing and Josh Freeman is 10-20 passing for 137 yards. Connor Barth put a field goal through the uprights at the end of the half to get the Bucs on the board.
Tampa Bay will receive the ball in the second half as they try to get back in this game.
