The Denver Broncos are feeling very confident with Tim Tebow as their starting quarterback, so much so that they waived former starter Kyle Orton today. This is a move that could affect the Houston Texans as they move toward their first ever playoff berth. Houston is rumored to be one of the possible landing places for Orton if the Texans are willing to take on the remaining $2.5 million on his contract:

The Houston Texans, Chicago Bears and Kansas City Chiefs are among teams that have recently suffered significant injuries to their starting quarterback.

Orton has been productive as a starter since entering the NFL in 2005. He is 32-30 in games he has played in for Chicago and Denver, and at one time he was a Heisman Trophy candidate during his senior season at Purdue. He has thrown for almost 13,000 yards and 71 touchdowns against only 48 interceptions in his career.
