There's at least one thing that folks can't say about the Houston Texans, they are an equal opportunity employer when it comes to quarterbacks in the NFL as it looks like the need to sign another signal caller is on the to-do list for the organization.
Per the Houston Texans twitter feed, Texans head coach Gary Kubiak has confirmed that 2nd string quarterback Matt Leinart is done for the remainder of the season:
Leinart has a fracture, will need surgery, likely in next week. He's very disappointed. We will bring another QB in, but most important thing now is moving forward with TJ Yates and Kellen Clemens.
Kubiak also spoke about the future prospects at quarterback beyond Yates and Clemens:
All QB's brought in last week for tryouts did things well, have different skillsets, but we don't know yet who we will sign. Names will come forward over the next few days. You don't rule out anybody at this point, or confirm anybody.
The Houston Texans will prepare Yates and Clemens for the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday at 1 p.m.
