Andre Johnson Injury Update: Texans WR Will Not Play Against Colts

The Houston Texans will be hitting the road to take on the Indianapolis Colts in a Thursday night game in Week 16. The early word out of the Texans practices on Tuesday is that they will play at least one more week without wide receiver Andre Johnson. According to a tweet sent out by the official Texans Twitter feed:

Kubiak: Andre (Johnson) will not play (at Indy). He's out. He's very close. He will not go.

Johnson injured his left hamstring in the third quarter of Atlanta's Week 13 game against the Atanta Falcons, missing the last two games as a result. An MRI revealed a mild strain and he has been day--to-day but the Texans staff is making sure not to rush his return.

Johnson missed six games earlier in the season due to an injury to his right hamstring. This current injury is believed to be much less severe. Johnson has been adamant about playing one of Houston's final two games, but he will not be playing in Indianapolis.
