The Houston Texans got off to a fast start in the game when Brian Cushing sacked Colts quarterback Dan Orlovsky forcing a fumble on the Indianapolis' first play of the game. The Texans recovered and needed only two plays to score on an Arian Foster nine yard touchdown run.
Later in the quarter, the Colts capped off a 22 yard drive with an Adam Vinatieri 23 yard field goal that cut the Texans' lead to 7-3. Houston once again pushed the lead out to seven with a 44 yard Neil Rackers field goal.
Foster found plenty of room to run in the first gaining 64 yards on seven carries including the touchdown run. Tyler Yates got the start and is 3 for 4 with 39 yards but lost a fumble when he was stripped by the Colts' Robert Mathis.
Indy hasn't been able to do much offensively. Dan Orlovsky went 2 for 5 for 17 yards in the first and Joseph Addai and Donald Brown combined to rush for 15 yards on nine carries.
