Texans Vs. Bengals: Despite Playoff Implications, Blackout Likely For Cincinnati Viewers

The Texans' playoff quest continues at Wild Card hopeful Cincinnati in a crucial game for AFC seeding

Despite the fact that it's one of only a few games this Sunday matching two teams with playoff aspirations (in the same conference, to boot), the 9-3 Houston Texans visiting the 7-5 Cincinnati Bengals has failed to draw much interest in the southern Ohio / northern Kentucky area.

According to the National Football Post, another Cincy game will go dark this Sunday:

The Bengals announced that the game will be blacked out on local television because for the fifth time in six games, Paul Brown Stadium is not a sold out. The only Bengals game to sell out was the Nov. 13 game against Pittsburgh.

The Bengals join the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars in struggling with fan apathy this year, albeit with a playoff contending team and young, dynamic playmakers in Andy Dalton and A.J. Green. The game will be available as scheduled to viewers in the Houston area.
