NFL Combine 2011 Schedule: Monday For Front Seven

The NFL Combine media days are done, meaning we can’t get any new questions about Cam Newton, but the workouts continue on today. The Texans defensive brass, which probably is just Wade Phillips at this point, will get a chance to look at all their favorite DT, DE, and LB prospects. Outside linebacker was noted as one of the biggest weaknesses of the team by Gary Kubiak earlier in the week, so be sure to keep your eye on those. Don’t worry about a nose tackle though, Earl Mitchell’s got it covered. Here is Monday’s full schedule, courtesy of Mocking The Draft.

Monday, Feb. 28
9:00 AM – Workouts: Linebackers, Defensive Line (HD) – LIVE (Encores in its entirety at 4:00 PM with cut-down versions at 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM)

2:00 PM – Workouts: Kickers, Offensive Linemen, Tight Ends – Cut-down Version (HD)

7:00 PM – NFL Total Access at the Scouting Combine (HD) (Encores at 10:00 PM and 1:00 AM)

Starting at 9:00 AM – NFL.com LIVE: Complete, all-access coverage of group workouts.

All day – NFL.com: Exclusive daily video clips available.

Look out for the 3-4 OLB’s. Von Miller will probably play his way off the board, but someone like Robert Quinn could very well be in the Texans’ sights at No. 11. Aldon Smith, Brooks Reed and Akeem Ayers could also be guys in the mix for the Texans first few picks. On the line, Marcell Dareus and Phil Taylor could make sense for the Texans as well.

The local scene will be best represented by Baylor’s Taylor and Texas A&M’s Miller, both likely first-round picks, but Sam Acho of Texas and Cheta Ozougwu of Rice could also raise some eyebrows on the field today.
