Many had the Arizona Cardinals tabbed to take an OLB in the first round, such as Robert Quinn or Von Miller. They were able to wait until the fourth and picked up Texas Longhorn Sam Acho.
Acho is a bit stiff, and he doesn't excel at shedding blocks, but he's known to be a heady player who can hold his own against the run.
Joey Porter isn't likely to return to the Cardinals in 2011, and Arizona will hope to have a smooth transition at the position with Acho. He doesn't project as a great pass rusher, but was able to hold his own against double teams in college when he lined up as a 5-technique. Acho may bring a bit of positional flexibility, but he also may turn out to be a bit of a project in the NFL.
Bonus: Acho's middle name "Onyedikachi" means "who is like unto God."
