The first Texas Tech Red Raider selected in the 2011 NFL Draft is running back Baron Batch, who's headed to the Pittsburgh Steelers after being selected in the seventh round.
Batch projects as third-down NFL back, as he displays good hands catching passes out of the backfield. At the Texas Tech Pro Day, Batch (5'9", 207) ran a 4.50 and a 4.52 40-yard dash, along with a 39-inch vertical jump.
But enough of his measurables... the guy likes to talk trash. Witness this from a USA Today article on Batch:
I think all players love trash talk, but from a player's perspective please don't embarrass yourself, your school, your friends, your family, your city, your household pet, or your state by engaging in pathetic trash talk. If you keep these rules in mind while talking trash you will be golden:
1. Respect the other team's players and coaches.
2. Respect your university .
3. Don't use a barrage of obscenities - it shows lack of intelligence.
