The Texans Injury Report: Good News For Walter, Ward

We talked about Kevin Walter's injury yesterday in the review of the game, but the Texans got good news after the MRI report came back. What was initially thought to be a broken collarbone is only bruised, meaning Walter will miss a week or so at the most.

The same goes for Derrick Ward, who left with an ankle injury against the Colts and may miss this week's game against the Dolphins. However, it doesn't seem to be a big injury that will hamper him for multiple weeks right now.

There is still no word on Arian Foster's hamstring, but I'd imagine the team will continue to be careful with him. The Dolphins will not be rolled over as easily as the Colts, so I'd expect the Texans to want to use him and get to 2-0 quickly.

We'll keep updating this as more news leaks out, but one thing we do know is that Jacoby Jones will fill in for Walter if he does miss the game and Ben Tate established pretty reliably that he can not only stand up to 20-plus carries, but that he can be effective at the same time. Don't expect either Tate or Foster to run on the Dolphins like Tate did on the Colts, but if the offensive line plays as well again, there is a very good chance the Texans will win that battle.
