The Houston Texans are one of three unbeaten teams after Week 4 of the 2012 NFL season, and experts around the Internet seem to agree that the Texans are not only the best of the 4-0 teams, but the best team in the NFL.
SB Nation's Week 5 Power Rankings have the Texans on top for the first time this season (swapping spots with the also-unbeaten Atlanta Falcons from last week) following their dominating 38-14 win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. SB Nation NFL editor Joel Thorman writes the team will have the AFC South wrapped up in no time at this rate:
1. Houston Texans (LW: 2, 4-0): The Texans have won their games by 20, 20, six and 24 points this year. And even the six-point game against the Broncos wasn't as close as the score indicates. The Texans are going to wrap up their division early this year if they keep winning and the rest of the AFC South keeps losing. Big games coming up later this month against Green Bay and Baltimore.
CBS Sports and ESPN both have the Texans atop their rankings, as well. CBS' Pete Prisco writes that there's no doubt who the best team in the league is right now:
"It's not even close right now as to which is the best team. What can't they do? The division race is over."
