The NFL is about as unpredictable as it gets, but based on a quick scan of the experts pick of the Texans' Week 5 game against the Jets, Houston is pretty much a lock.
The entire 12-person panel of ESPN selected the Texans to take out the Jets on Monday Night Football. The eight-person group making picks for CBS also picked the Texans unanimously. Sports Illustrated's Peter King predicts a 33-13 Texans drubbing of the struggling Jets.
And this game is in New York. Heading into Thursday night's game between Arizona and St. Louis, road teams were 2-10 in prime time.
SB Nation's Jets site, Gang Green Nation, also selected the Texans.
Houston is a 4½-point road favorite in the game. The Texans ran through September with a 4-0 record, and J.J. Watt was named AFC Defensive Player of the Month. The Jets are without wide receiver Santonio Holmes, who is out for the year after suffering a Lisfranc fracture in his foot.
