NFL picks Week 9: Bills vs. Texans

With the AFC's best record, the Houston Texans are heavy favorites over the Buffalo Bills, and most experts are predicting a big win on Sunday for Gary Kubiak's squad.

The AFC-leading Houston Texans will play host to the Buffalo Bills this Sunday afternoon at Reliant Stadium. Coming out of a bye week with the best record in the conference at 6-1 and a two-game lead in the AFC South over the Indianapolis Colts, Houston is seeking its seventh win of the season.

In the 3-4, last-place Bills, the Texans will face a team that has had trouble stopping the pass, the run, and everything in between. That bodes well for a Houston offense that beat up Baltimore to the tune of 43 points and 420 yards. Matt Schaub threw for 256 yards and two touchdowns, and Arian Foster added two scores and 98 yards on the ground.

Not surprisingly, every picker has the Texans as the favorite to win on Sunday. SB Nation calls Houston – a 10-point favorite – the lock of the week. OddsShark, meanwhile, expects a Texas-sized beatdown, with a predicted score of 39-18.

Over at CBS Sports, all eight experts are calling a Houston win, with six predicting that the Texans will best the 10-point spread. Yahoo! Sports was also unanimous, with four out of four pickers tabbing Houston as Sunday's winner.
