Bears vs. Texans final score: Houston wins tough road game, 13-6

Houston's defense caused four turnovers as the Texans defeated the Bears on Sunday Night Football, 13-6.

The Houston Texans took advantage of four takeaways and defeated the Chicago Bears Sunday night, 13-6.

The Chicago Bears turned the ball over four times in the first half on two Jay Cutler interceptions, one fumble from Michael Bush and one fumble from tight end Kellen Davis, digging themselves in a hole they could not get out of.

Jay Cutler was hit hard as he stepped up to throw late in the second quarter, and although he finished the first half, he was diagnosed with a concussion at halftime and did not return to the game.

Backup quarterback Jason Campbell took over for the injured Cutler and led the Bears into the Houston redzone, however, they had to settle for a field goal to cut the deficit, 10-6. The field goal would be all the offense the Jason Campbell led Bears could muster.

Winners

Statistically, no offensive player performed exceptionally well, but on a wet, rainy night, Matt Schaub's drive in the first half, which led to the only touchdown of the night, proved to be the difference. Schaub was 14-of-26 for 95 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. Arian Foster rushed 29 times for 102 yards, adding 15 yards and one touchdown receiving as well.

Losers

Jason Campbell was 11-of-19 for 94 yards through the air, and Matt Forte rushed 16 times for only 39 yards. Brandon Marshall had seven receptions for 99 yards. Bears cornerback Tim Jennings had two interceptions in the first half and now has eight interceptions on the season.

Odds

Houston, a one-point underdog, covered the spread with their seven point victory.

Up Next

The Bears will look to rebound in Week 11 against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football. The 8-1 Houston Texans face the Jacksonville Jaguars.
