Texans vs. Titans injury report: Foster a full participant; Newton, James, Joseph sit out

Texans starting running Arian Foster was back to full tilt in practice Thursday. Wide receiver Andre Johnson was limited in practice.

After being a limited participant in practice Wednesday because of a non-injury related issue, Houston Texans running back Arian Foster was back to full participation on Thursday. Wide receiver Andre Johnson was limited in practice for the second straight day with a groin injury. Both sides of the football have been bitten by the injury bug in Houston ahead of their match-up with the Tennessee Titans.

Offensively, tight end Owen Daniels was still limited in practice with a back issue. Offensive tackle Derek Newton didn't practice for the second straight day with a knee injury. Offensive guard Antoine Caldwell also sat out with a hamstring injury. Offensive guard Wade Smith was limited in practice with a knee and rib injury.

Defensively, there's good news up front as defensive end J.J. Watt was back at practice after sitting out Wednesday with an illness. But plenty of other defensive players sat out with various injuries. Inside linebacker Bradie James (hamstring), cornerback Johnathan Joseph (hamstring) and outside linebacker Brooks Reed (groin) all sat out of practice for the second straight day. Defensive tackle Shaun Cody was limited in practice for the second day in a row with a rib and back injury. Defensive end Antonio Smith was also limited with an ankle injury.
