Texans J.J. Watt, Duane Brown make Midseason All-Pro team

Honored for their outstanding play through the midpoint of the season, Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt and offensive tackle Duane Brown were both named to Pro Football Weekly's Midseason All-Pro Team on Tuesday.

Watt currently leads the NFL with 10.5 sacks after eight games, and was one of just six players unanimously voted to the team. He remains on a short list of defensive player of the year candidates with 31 solo tackles and two forced fumbles also to his credit, and has already established himself as one of the premier pash rushers in the game at just 23 years old. Watt was joined by Chicago's Julius Peppers, Cincinnati's Geno Atkins and New England's Vince Wilfork on the team's defensive line.

As Houston's starting left tackle, Brown's impressive work helping to pave the way for star tailback Arian Foster made him an obvious choice as an offensive line candidate. A pair of 49ers players in right tackle Anthony Davis and left guard Mike Iupati also joined Brown on the team, while Baltimore right guard Marshal Yanda and Miami center Mike Pouncey were chosen to round out the line.
