The Houston Texans will try to lock up the AFC's top playoff seed Sunday against Adrian Peterson and the Minnesota Vikings. Kickoff is set for noon CT at Reliant Stadium.
Houston (12-2) has already wrapped up a playoff berth and second consecutive division title, but still has plenty to play for Sunday. A win or a loss by Denver and New England would give the Texans home field advantage throughout the AFC Playoffs. Defensive end J.J. Watt, who is tied for the league lead with 19.5 sacks, needs three more to break Michael Strahan's single-season sack record. And while the team has already set a franchise record for wins in a season, each victory adds to that record.
After back-to-back wins against Chicago and St. Louis, the Minnesota Vikings (8-6) surprisingly find themselves in playoff contention. Peterson leads the NFL in rushing with 1,812 yards and 11 touchdowns, and is just 294 yards short of Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record with two games left to play.
