2013 AFC Pro Bowl roster: Eight Texans named to AFC roster

Five Texans players, including J.J. Watt, were named as starters for the AFC team in the 2013 NFL Pro Bowl.

Eight Houston Texans, including starting quarterback Matt Schaub and running back Arian Foster, were named to the AFC roster for the 2013 NFL Pro Bowl.

Tackle Duane Brown, defensive end J.J. Watt, receiver Andre Johnson, cornerback Johnathan Joseph and Foster were named as starters to the NFC team, while center Chris Myers, guard Wade Smith and Schaub were named as reserves.

Foster is currently No. 2 in the AFC with 1,328 yards rushing and 14 touchdowns in 2012, averaging 4.0 yards per carry this season after putting up 1,224 yards in 2011. Foster leads all NFL rushers in touchdowns on the season. Jamaal Charles of the Chiefs and Ray Rice of the Ravens were also named to the AFC team.

Defensive end J.J. Watt leads the NFL with 20.5 sacks this season with 77 total tackles on the year, including 15 passes defensed and four forced fumbles. Andre Johnson leads the AFC with 1,457 yards receiving on 100 catches, with just four touchdowns on the season.
