I don't have anything against the Redskins, but this story makes me incredibly happy because the Texans get money from the Cowboys. That's because the 'Boys got slapped down for front-loading their contracts during that uncapped season.
↵It doesn't matter that the Redskins got the brunt of the blow, losing $36 million off their cap while Dallas lost $10 million. That money was distributed among the rest of the teams, leading to each of the other teams (who aren't New Orleans or Oakland), picking up $1.6 million in cap space.
↵That is pretty big, as Houston tries to re-sign Mario Williams and/or add a free agent wideout. With Robet Meachem, Vincent Jackson and now Pierre Garcon on the market, there could be a good option to be had in free agency.
↵I'm sure this also seems like a gift to the Texans front office, but I'm almost gleeful that it's courtesy of the Cowboys. What a great day...
