2012 NFL Mock Draft: Texans Select Kendall Wright From Baylor In MTD's Latest

In SB Nation's Mocking The Draft's latest mock draft, the Houston Texans stick with what most other mock drafts have had them do this offseason, which is to select a talented wide receiver in the first round. So, with the team's No. 26 overall pick, the Texans select Baylor wide receiver Kendall Wright, according to Mocking the Draft.

Kendall Wright | Wide receiver | Baylor: When star receiver Andre Johnson got hurt, the Texans struggled without a great second option. Their offense doesn't need much, but a secondary vertical option could give the team the league's most potent offense. Don't expect Houston to hurry in replacing tackle Eric Winston. They're likely to do that in later rounds.

Selecting a wide receiver in the first round makes the most sense for the Texans as Andre Johnson has had durability issues, and he isn't young enough to count on for the next few years. However, with Johnson and a guy like Wright on the field at the same time, secondaries would have their hands full, especially when you factor in tight end Owen Daniels and running back Arian Foster out of the backfield.
