2012 NFL Mock Drafts: BRB Rounds Up The Mocks

If you like following mock drafts, these posts MDC is doing over at Battle Red Blog should be right up your alley. He looks at lots and lots of mock drafts from around the internets and analyzes the picks.

What I find fascinating is how much groupthink goes into these. Once someone hits upon a position that everyone assumes a team is going with, that's who they slot in. There may be a difference in players taken, but rarely do the mockers make an effort to do research on what a team does or how they have drafted in the past.

↵

Only two of the 18 mock drafts listed had something other than a wide receiver being picked. Only one had a defensive guy, and one that I like quite a bit in Nick Perry out of USC. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the Texans will NOT pick a wideout with their first round pick unless Justin Blackmon falls that far.

Write it down. Remember I said it here. No wideout in the first round in 2012.
